Born from the idea of giving new life to existing materials, Paris Miki Authentic draws inspiration from upcycling practices in the textile industry. The collection reuses components from frames initially set aside due to Japan’s ultra-strict inspection criteria.
Although these pieces didn’t meet the perfection required for mass production in Sabae, they still reflect exceptional quality. Rather than waste these resources, Paris Miki chose to transform them into refined, high-end eyewear—without compromising its standard of excellence.
Crafted in Sabae, Home of Japanese Eyewear
Each frame is handcrafted in Sabae, the city internationally renowned for its optical craftsmanship. Skilled artisans from Create Three and Rim Seiko Co., Ltd. meticulously inspect and rework each part, polishing away micro-scratches and ensuring a flawless finish.
The process takes three times longer than standard production—but results in eyewear that reflects the highest level of quality and care.

Beyond repurposing existing materials, Paris Miki Authentic introduces eco-conscious innovation by incorporating modern components made from biomass-based plastic, developed as a new biodegradable acetate.
