Since its founding in 1930 in Himeji, Japan, Paris Miki has become a key player in the eyewear industry, known for its unique craftsmanship, continuous innovation, and personalized customer service.

1930: The Beginnings in Himeji

Founded by Yoshio Tane under the name Seikakudo Tokeiten, Paris Miki originally specialized in the sale and repair of clocks and eyewear. From the very beginning, the company stood out for its commitment to quality and customer care.

1970s: A Global Vision

In 1973, Paris Miki opened its first store in France, on rue de l’Opéra in Paris, marking the brand’s debut on the international stage. During the same decade, the Miki Optical Institute was established to focus on research and development, catering to the specific needs of customers.

1980–1990: The Innovation Era

The 1980s and 1990s were defined by major technological advancements, including the introduction of the Mikissime Design System, which used artificial intelligence to design custom-made eyewear, and the implementation of a POS system to enhance the in-store customer experience.

Since 2000: A Strengthened Legacy

Paris Miki has continued its global expansion with new boutiques in China, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Always a pioneer, the company has embraced artisanal eyewear manufacturing and formed exclusive collaborations to offer exceptional frames.
